Metamorphosis III

Through incorporating animated imagery from contemporary ink painting, this animation and interdisciplinary work aspires to evoke a transcendental experience of the cosmic force, a glimpse into the crucible of genesis. Energies shift and explode to create serenity in an electric manner. Light emanates from darkness, symbolizing spiritual rebirth. Reflecting a reverence for both the spirits of Tao and the Sublime, this work celebrates the dynamic energies that give birth to new life, new planets, and new stars.

Metamorphosis III Video Animation and Dance won the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2019. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that rewards exceptional design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
