Wuliangye Yuandingjinsheng
Wuliangye Yuandingjinsheng is a packaging design for Chinese baijiu served at wedding banquets. The box opens with a pull-out mechanism, so that two pandas drawn in ink painting style appear to embrace each other. Six illustrated stages of a shared life are linked to the steps of opening the package. The bottle shape is based on bamboo, and the cap follows the form of a traditional embroidered ball. The package is made of recyclable pulp material. The spiral bottle mouth allows the bottle to be reused as a cup or a vase.
Wuliangye Yuandingjinsheng Baijiu Packaging by Sinong Wu has been recognized as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Wuliangye Yuandingjinsheng Baijiu Packaging was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2026. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that rewards superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
