Guanshan
Guanshan is a brand identity created for a milk tea shop. The design uses Chinese characters as its foundation and modernizes the structure of traditional clerical script while keeping its classical spirit. Rooted in Eastern object aesthetics, the identity combines the imagery of ink wash fans and tea ware. The central motif shows a fan and a teacup in an overlapping composition, creating dual symbolism. The ink brush strokes suggest the bamboo frame of a traditional round fan, and the cup silhouette draws on Jianzhan tea bowls.
Guanshan Milk Tea Shop by Hong Jia Min was recognized as an exceptional representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Guanshan Milk Tea Shop was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2025. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which recognizes excellent design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
