Kolompeh
Kolompeh is a packaging design for traditional Kerman pastries that are filled with dates and sweetened with grape syrup. The box is made of cardboard coated with water-based materials to keep the packaging environmentally friendly. Illustration covers the surfaces, showing characters inspired by the ancestors of Kerman, with long mustaches and clothing decorated with Persian patterns. Gold and vivid printed colors suggest quality, and each color refers to a flavor. The pastries are arranged inside on food-grade wax paper. The design connects local art with the modern market.
Kolompeh Traditional Kerman Pastries by Sajad Izadi has been recognized as an exceptional illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award.
