Avand
Avand is a packaging series created for a boutique pastry brand. The range includes three cake boxes, a cookie box and a paper cup. Hand brush painting is combined with digital art to form free shapes that resemble a work of art. Deep green and gold are used as the primary brand colors. The painted surfaces reflect the handmade nature of the pastry and the care taken during production. A dynamic identity approach is applied, so the packages carry varied artistic impressions rather than a single fixed pattern.
Avand Pastry by Masoud Najafi Amirkiasar has been identified as a creative representation of communication design by the A' Design Award. Avand Pastry won the Iron A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2025. The A' Packaging Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize which rewards outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
