Chavannes
Chavannes is a tea package created as a joint project between Chavannes Tea and the Dunhuang Museum in China. The package belongs to a seven-part series inspired by the ancient Silk Road, and this edition takes Dunhuang in Gansu Province as the main visual theme. Illustrations of the Flying Apsaras of the Dunhuang murals are combined with Wuyi Rock Tea to show the meeting of Silk Road and tea culture. The gift box is made of gray board and special paper with hot stamping, UV and relief printing. Two opposing drawers hold three small boxes each, and every box contains one tea bag.
Chavannes Tea Package by Yifu Pan has been identified as an innovative representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Chavannes Tea Package was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2025. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which honors outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
