Lay's Smiles Campaign
Lay's Smiles Campaign is a food packaging design released in Russia. A large smiling face is the main visual element on each pack. The packaging keeps the established Lay's visual identity and the colour cues that indicate the flavour of the product. The support given to the Friendship Program of the Best Buddies Foundation is also shown on the pack. One ruble is donated to the programme from each pack purchased. The intent is to share a positive message and to present the brand as a purposeful one.
Lay's Smiles Campaign Food Packaging by PepsiCo Design and Innovation was identified as an outstanding illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Lay's Smiles Campaign Food Packaging received the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2022. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which honors outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
