Banquine
Banquine is a packaging and branding design for a line of luxury scented candles. The design translates energy into geometric shapes and bright colors, forming a set of patterns that are recognizable yet distinct. Each scent in the collection has its own pattern, so every package can be kept as a separate collector item. The visual language is inspired by the circus, where sound, smell and color meet. The vibrant colors and elegant textures are intended to attract attention while keeping a graceful and refined appearance.
Banquine Packaging by Eva Van der Borght has been identified as an exceptional illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Banquine Packaging was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which honors superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
