Landscape
Display of Guilin Scenery is a toothpaste package created for a brand based in Guilin, China. Two local landscapes, the Li River and the Longsheng terraced fields, are illustrated in a traditional Chinese painting style to show the origin of the product and its natural character. The outer box is made of 350 gram white cardboard with matt lamination and a transparent ultraviolet coating. The tube combines plastic and aluminium layers. Rather than stressing function alone, the design builds a familiar visual link with scenery known to many consumers.
Landscape Toothpaste Package by Longsheng Zhong has been recognized as a grand illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Landscape Toothpaste Package received the Iron A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2021. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade that celebrates outstanding design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
