Utobeera Fruitbeer

Utobeera

Utobeera is a packaging design for a fruit beer. The name Utobeera was inspired by the word Utopia, and it reflects the brand values of equality, human rights, diversity, uniqueness and love. Four well known figures from art history are reinterpreted in a psychedelic illustration style: the hat man by Rene Magritte, a girl in a Chinese dress, Bacchus, the god of wine, and the Chinese god of longevity. Each fruit in the original artworks is replaced by a digital fruit figure. The design refers to cyberpunk culture and uses Pantone colors and foil pressing.

Utobeera Fruitbeer by Jansword Zhu was highlighted as an outstanding illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Utobeera Fruitbeer was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2020. The A' Packaging Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that honors superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
