Yuyuan Road Baijiu
Yuyuan Road Baijiu is a packaging design for a Chinese liquor produced in Maotai town, Guizhou province. The design is inspired by Yuyuan Road, a historic street in Shanghai, and by the main building on that street. The logo shows an element of the Paramount, a landmark building and cultural symbol in Shanghai. The outer box is made of recycled plastic, the bottle is ceramic with gold spray paint, and the cover is plastic. The box measures 100 by 100 by 290 millimetres. The packaging aims to convey Shanghai culture to consumers.
Yuyuan Road Baijiu Beverage by Wen Liu was selected as an innovative example of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Yuyuan Road Baijiu Beverage received the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2020. The A' Packaging Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that celebrates exceptional design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
