Winter
The design is to promote the orange, named winter naval, produced from an organic farm. The package includes two sizes of cardboard boxes, information card, envelope for orange peeler. The winter naval can only be picked after the baptism of the four seasons. the challenge of the design is to illustrate the significance of the elongated growth routine and different form of an orange tree during four seasons on the package. The design team came up with a drawing that was inspired by the tale of jack and beanstalk. Emphases on the notion of harmony between nature and mankind.
Winter Orange Package by Chao Xu has been recognized as a grand representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Winter Orange Package won the Bronze A' Design Award in Packaging Design in 2020. The A' Packaging Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that celebrates superior design of bottles, boxes, cans, pouches, tubes, cartons, wrappers, bags and more.
